HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Three Forester men’s basketball players received preseason All-Conference accolades as announced by the Crossroads League office earlier today.

Headlining the announcement for HU was senior Mike Bush. The 5-7 point guard was voted preseason First Team after being named a First Teamer last season and leading the nation in assists with his 10.2 average along with pouring in 15.7 points per night.

Junior Tyler Arens was named a preseason Honorable Mention pick. The 6-8 forward transferred in from the University of Findlay last year and his impact was immediate as he chipped in 14.8 points and corralled 5.4 rebounds per game. He returns as HU’s leading rebounder and is second behind Bush as his team’s returning point getter.

Joining Arens on the Honorable Mention Team is sophomore Konner Platt. The Huntington native also averaged double-digit points last year (11.1) and for his efforts was named to the All-Freshmen Team.

Coach Platt’s crew was picked to finish ninth in the league’s preseason poll. The Foresters posted a 7-11 Crossroads League record last year for a 7th place finish in the regular season standings. HU’s season kicks off on November 1 when they host Saint Xavier at 7:00 p.m.
