HUNTINGTON, IN April 30, 1997—- The Huntington College Department of Physical Education has announced that Tim Cooley recently received his athletic training certification after passing the National Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification Examination.

Cooley returned to Huntington College to receive his athletic training degree after graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Ministries. Cooley currently resides in Huntington, Indiana.

“Tim is the second student to sit for the exam and pass with flying colors,” said Kevin Vanden Akker, head athletic trainer. “He has been a fantastic student to work with.”

Athletic training is one of many specialized concentrations available within the Department of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation at Huntington College. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington College seeks “to equip men and women to impact our world for Christ.”
