HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University men’s basketball coach Ty Platt has announced the signing of East Noble High School senior Ren Crump as the third addition to his 2016-17 roster.

The 5-10 guard led the Knights in scoring this season by averaging 14.5 points per game in addition to posting a team-best 3.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per outing and for his efforts earned Second Team All-Conference and All-Area Team accolades.

The Kendallville native was also voted his team’s most outstanding player.

"We are very pleased that Ren is joining our Forester basketball program,” said Coach Platt. “He is a highly competitive, confident guard that can shoot the ball well, has good instincts, and plays all out. We think Ren's best years are still in front of him and we fully expect him to have a great four year career."

Ren is the son of Raymond and Ronda Crump of Kendallville, Ind.
