HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The 2015 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championships field has been announced and among the list of 82 individuals invited to participate is Huntington University freshman Aspen Dirr.

Dirr punched her ticket to nationals at the Crossroads League Championships where she clocked in at 19:22.94 to finish 15th out of 121 runners. She will be one of four runners from the league competing as an individual.

As the conference champions, Taylor University received an automatic bid to the national stage while Indiana Wesleyan, ranked 8th nationally, will also compete as a team having received the second at-large bid.

The 36th annual event will take place November 21 at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C. The women’s race is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. EST. 

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
