PARKVILLE, Mon. – The Foresters traveled to Kansas City over Fall Break to compete in the Park University Fall Classic. After two days of play, the men finished tenth among 13 competitors.
The team’s best showing came on the second day, when they shot 319 as a whole after tallying 337 in the opening day of the tournament.
Freshman Luis Esteban led the Foresters on the green with a total of 158, good enough for a tie for 12th place out of 76 golfers. Esteban has led HU for three straight tournaments.
Sophomore Logan DeMaa followed closely behind Esteban with 159, which placed him in 20th.
Zach Bontreger and Zak Cummings rounded out the team with 166 and 171, respectively.
Sterling College topped the leaderboard by shooting a 611 followed by Bethany (624), Iowa Central (629), Lindenwood-Belleville (632), Kansas City Kansas (633), Evangel University (634), Kirkwood (644), Ottawa (652), Jamestown (653), HU (656), Graceland (657), Kansas Wesleyan (668) and Avilla (668).
The match wraps up the Foresters’ regular season schedule.
