HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Head Coach Roger Ferguson and the Forester women’s tennis program have inked their first recruit for 2018-19 with the signing of Mooresville standout Morgan Fitzpatrick.

With her senior high school season still in front of her, Fitzpatrick already boasts two First Team All-State badges. A National Two Star recruit, she currently ranks #15 in the state, #683 nationally. Her resume also includes qualifying for the USTA Midwest Closed Tournament.

Fitzgerald is excited to become a Forester. “As soon as I walked onto the campus, I could tell there was something special about HU. Everyone I talked to was so genuine and kind and I love the importance placed on faith.

“The tennis team made me feel like I was already part of the team. I am so excited to begin my future at Huntington."

Coach Ferguson is equally enthusiastic about his latest blue chipper. “I am extremely excited that Morgan has decided to become a member of our tennis family for 2018. She is a fine tennis player and an amazing young lady.

“Morgan will add more depth to our line up along with a great attitude to work hard and be successful at HU. We are blessed to have Morgan as a Forester."

Fitzgerald is the youngest of three sisters and is following their example as the third Fitzgerald sibling to play collegiate tennis. Morgan is the daughter of Steve and Stacey Fitzpatrick of Monrovia, Ind.
