KOKOMO, Ind. – The Forester women’s golf team finished third at the IU Kokomo Cougar Intercollegiate over the weekend by posting a 760 (387, 373).

Among a field of 24 golfers, Betsy Schroeder carded a 178 (90, 88) to finish 7th overall. Leah Thompson claimed 11th by turning in a 181 (91, 90). Sophie Frazier fired a 191 (100, 91) for 13th place. Rachel Blauert posted a 210 (106, 104) good for 17th while Sarah Scott  (109, 106) and Reily Vore (109, 113) finished with a 215 and 222 respectively.

“Second day results were much more encouraging,” noted Coach Pete Schownir. “The first day was cold, windy, and wet and it was nice to have good day to play. We just need four good scores to count.”

Siena Heights took home the title with a 636 followed by IU Kokomo (712), HU (760) and Ancilla (790).

HU is back in action April 13-14 when they host their own invitational at Brookwood GC in Fort Wayne.
