SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The HU women’s golf team hit the road over the weekend to compete in Bethel’s Battle at Blackthorn where they finished 12th out of 14 team by shooting an 847 (428, 419).

Abby Poole continues to establish herself as one of the top golfers in the Midwest. She posted a 170 (88, 82) to finish tied for 18th out of 70 golfers. Hannah Lochner finished next for HU with a 212 (107, 105) for 57th place. “Blackthorn is likely the most difficult course we will play all year,” noted Coach Schownir. “I thought our team handled  themselves very admirably Friday through a seven-hour hour round in a steady rain and attempts at gamesmanship by some of their playing partners. They kept their poise and I couldn't be more proud of them.”

(669), Bethel “B” (673), Olivet Nazarene (681), Taylor (684), Holy Cross (690), IU East (733), Spring Arbor (757), Robert Morris (764), Mount Vernon (770), IU Kokomo (786), HU (847), Judson (870) and Trinity Christian (1056).
