An outstanding showing by the Huntington University men's cross country team at the Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational in Minnesota over the weekend catapulted the Foresters into the NAIA Top 10 in this week's national rankings. The Foresters jumped five spots from last week's thirteenth-place ranking to eighth in the nation.

At the Griak Invitational, Huntington upset the NAIA #2-ranked Yellow Jackets of Black Hills State University (SD) finishing a spot above them in seventh place in the team results. Forester senior and local Huntington product, Nick Johnson, turned in an outstanding individual performance winning the small college race with a personal best time of 25:16.

Huntington is the Mid-Central Conference's lone representative in the national rankings. Taylor University dropped out of the Top 25, but still received votes. Malone College (OH) continued to hold the top spot having received 21 of 22 first place votes.
