HUNTINGTON, IN— The Huntington College Foundation will hold its monthly breakfast meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 1995. Huntington's head basketball coach, Steve Platt, will profile his new recruits and returning players, assess the Foresters' competition within the NAIA, and offer a forecast of his second season as head coach.
Last year, the Foresters were undefeated on their home court, and finished with their best season record in 17 years. Platt returned to coach basketball at his alma mater after a 20 year absence from the game. In 1973 and again in 1974, Platt led the nation in collegiate scoring as a member of the Huntington squad. He still holds Indiana's all-time collegiate scoring record.
The public is cordially invited to attend. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m., and the program will conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $3.00. First-time guests are not charged. For further information, call 219-356-6000, ext. 1042.
