HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2016-17 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes and among the list are HU seniors Gina Eisenhut, Miranda Palmer and Allyson Trout and junior Hailey Krewald.

The Forester clan is four of 286 NAIA Division II women’s basketball student-athletes named to the list. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 38 NAIA All-America honors and 254 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
