Friesen Center hosts November blood drive

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Huntington University's Friesen Center for Volunteer Service will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6 in the upper level of the Habecker Dining Commons on campus. This will be the second of four scheduled blood drives for the 2013-2014 academic year.

The Friesen Center hosts all blood drives each year in conjunction with the American Red Cross.

Individuals who donate or volunteer their time will be entered drawing to win prizes, courtesy of the American Red Cross. The prize for this blood drive is an Apple iPod. The goal set for this blood drive is 60 units of blood by the end of the day.

Individuals who are interested in donating blood may register online at www.givelife.org or in person in the dining commons. Walk-ins are also acceptable, but everyone participating must have a photo ID. The blood drive is open to the public.

The Friesen Center is also asking for volunteers to help on the day of the drive.
