MOUNT VERNON, Ohio It was a great way to end the fall season for the Forester golf team as they finished in a three-way tie for second at the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Fall Invitational at Chapel Hill Golf Course on Saturday.

HU shot a 456 (303, 153). The invite was originally slated for a 36-hole outing but was cut short by nine holes due to darkness.

Leading the way was Devin Dale who shot a 72 on the first 18 holes on his way to posting a 111. Finishing one stroke behind Dale was Lance Hoch who shot a 112 which included firing a 35 on the final nine holes.

Derek Zurcher turned in a 114 (77, 37). Ryan Boester carded a 120 (77, 43) while Zach Borntreger shot a 123 (81, 42) to round out his team's scoring. Zach Herber, playing as an individual, finished with a 142 (97, 45).

Taylor captured the title by shooting a 440 followed by HU (456), Mount Vernon (456), Spring Arbor (456), Saint Francis (470), Columbus State CC (473), Shawnee State (476), Hiram (517) and Ohio Christian (554).
