Graduate School announces 2005 winter class schedule

Huntington, Ind. "The Huntington College Graduate School of Christian Ministries announces its 2005 winter semester classes. Classes will begin on January 6, and finish on April 1, 2005. The Graduate School offers classes toward the completion of a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, a Master of Arts in Educational Ministry, a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry, a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry and a Diploma in Pastoral Leadership. Classes may also be taken for continuing education credits.

The graduate school program is designed for the pastor, Christian education director, youth minister, or other ministry staff who would like to earn a Master's degree or take specific classes of interest. The classes also provide an opportunity for laypersons, or those who are transitioning into ministry from a secular career, to develop their ministry skills.

Classes at the Graduate School of Christian Ministries are designed for those who want to further their education and ministry training without leaving their present ministry or work positions.

Each course is offered in a non-traditional format, typically meeting one Thursday and Friday each month for three months. The block format is designed to be worker-friendly and to allow for an intensive time of interaction as students and professors discuss ministry ideas and issues.

Classes offered for the 2005 winter semester, starting in January, include Counseling Children, Historical Foundations, Sociology of Adolescence, Marriage and Family Counseling, Leading the Change Process, Human Development and Christian Nurture, New Testament, and Biblical Seminar.

A reduced cost for senior adults, 55 years and older, is $130 per class. For more information, contact the Graduate School of Christian Ministries at 1-888-424-7231 or graduate@huntington.edu. Information may also be found at the Graduate School web site at www.huntington.edu/gscm.
