HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Three Huntington University media guides were recognized as some of the nation’s best in the annual Walt McAlexander Publications contest conducted by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA).

The organization, comprised of sports information directors at NAIA schools, announced the publication winners at the NAIA-SIDA Convention in Dallas (Texas) earlier this month.

Both basketball media guides were recognized in the top ten of the winter brochures with the women’s guide finishing 4th overall while the men’s guide took 5th among all NAIA schools. It marks the 13th time in 15 years that a Huntington University basketball media guide has received national recognition in the NAIA-SIDA Publications Contest.

The Forester baseball media guide also garnered national honors by being selected 6th among all spring brochures.

All three media guides were designed by Nate Vandlen of Studio Nate and written and edited by sports information director Joanne Green.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 234 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
