PIERSON, Mich.  – The Forester men’s golf team had one of their best outings of the year Tuesday to finish 4th out of nine teams at Calvin College’s Knight Invite at Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club.

HU was led by Cale Carr’s 78 which landed him 7th overall. Logan DeMaa finished with an 80 to place 14th. Lance Hoch and Logan Choka each posted an 82 to tie for 21st while Zach Borntreger carded a 91 good for 44th.

“We played well today on a long, tough golf course in the cold,” said Coach Rick Sholund. “The last six holes as a team hurt us a little with a few double bogies. We will get better at finishing rounds out as we put ourselves in that position more. They did a good job today and this is one to build confidence on.”

Hope shot a 15-over-par 307 to claim the title followed by Madonna (312), Trine (321), HU (322),  Calvin (324), Cornerstone (327), Cleary (335), Albion (338) and Rochester (360).
