KENDALLVILLE, Ind.  The Huntington golf team battled the elements to shoot a 627 to finish seventh at the University of Saint Francis Fall Invitational over the weekend.

Playing at Noble Hawk on Friday, the Foresters shot a 313 to find themselves in sixth place but dropped a spot on Saturday by shooting a 328 at Cobblestone.

Ryan Boester paced HU by shooting an eight-over-par 151 (77, 74) to finish in a tie for 5th out of 61 golfers. Devin Dale posted a 154 (74, 80) to tie for 12th while Lance Hoch carded a 157 (77, 80) for a piece of 24th place.

Derek Zurcher shot a 168 (84, 84). Zach Borntreger rounded out his team’s scoring with a 172 (91, 81) while Zach Herber finished with a 197 (96, 101).

Indiana Wesleyan shot a 613 to take the title followed by Bethel (616), Spring Arbor (618), Grace (620), Saint Francis (623), Mount Vernon (625), HU (627), Madonna (641) and Manchester (687).

The Foresters wrap up the fall season by playing at the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Invitational on October 11.
