HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington men’s tennis team (1-1) opened up conference play by breezing past Grace College 6-3 Thursday morning at Kramer Courts. The Foresters swept doubles to jump in front by three points and then picked up just as many wins in singles play for a 1-0 start in the league.

“We are playing much more aggressive, taking the ball earlier and putting away more volleys than our opponents,” said Coach Eckert. “This will be critical in next week’s battle with Marian.”With wins today at #1 doubles and #4 singles, Mariano Echevarria remained undefeated on the year at 4-0 after picking up a pair of Ws in HU’s season opener yesterday against a talented Lawrence Tech team.

The Foresters are now off until Wednesday when they host defending conference champions Marian University at 4:00 p.m.
