WINONA LAKE, Ind. The #RV Forester women's cross country team claimed the top five spots at the Grace College Invitational to bring home their third title of the season. It also marks the third time in four years that HU has won the Lancer Invitational.

Hannah Moore crossed the line in 19:08 as the individual champion followed by Christine Sparks who finished 2nd in 19:14. Erin Rockey ran a 19:19 for third place with Gretchen (Spahr) Pyper coming in four seconds later in 19:23. Krista Wood rounded out Huntington's scoring by finishing 5th in 19:30.

Other HU runners included Marie Ditzler (10th, 20:44), Natalie Spahr (12th, 20:50) and Cassidy Johnson (22:51).

HU's top five times totaled 1:36:40, nearly nine minutes quicker than second-place Grace. HU finished with 15 points followed by Grace (72), Trine (87), Saint Francis (123), Goshen (132), Purdue Calumet (180), Purdue North Central (182), IU Kokomo (196) and IU Northwest (199).

In the men's 8K, the Foresters finished third with 76 points. HU was topped by Eric Baker's seventh-place finish in 27:10. Austin Presnell clocked in at 27:26 for 11th place while Brian Menzie finished three spots later in 27:43. Zach McIntyre posted a 28:04 for 17th. Codi Wiersema ran a 29:16 for 27th and Ben Gammon finished 40th in 33:08.

Trine took the men's title with 41 points followed by Grace (61), HU (76), Purdue Calumet (91), Goshen (111) and IU Kokomo (130).

Huntington runs again on October 17 at the Wilmington College Classic.
