HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Forester women’s golf program and head coach Rick Sholund have announced the signing of Covenant Christian High School standout Olivia Kreiger.

“We are very excited that Olivia will be joining our team,” said Sholund. “She is an intense competitor with a strong work ethic and passion for the game. These qualities will fit well with our team.”

As the Warriors’ No. 1 golfer, Kreiger guided her team to a 13-2 record and the program’s first ever trip to regionals this fall. It’s the third trip for the four-year starter as she qualified for regionals as an individual the previous two years.

Kreiger boasts four All-City Team badges and has three times been voted her team’s Most Valuable Player. She has led CCHS each year with a season average that has ranged from the low-to-mid 40s and has a hole in one under her belt that dates back to 2014.

Kreiger is also accomplished academically having earned All-State Academic Honorable Mention accolades this season. She is the daughter of Steve and Jeanne Kreiger of Zionsville, Ind.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 38 NAIA All-America honors and 274 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
