HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced that Huntington University senior Audrey Mallers has been named this week’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week.

The 5-9 outside hitter had a breakout week to lead the Foresters to a perfect 3-0 record. Against Marian on Wednesday, Mallers posted a career-best 18 kills to go along with 12 digs and a block in the four-set win.

Mallers’ dominance continued through the weekend where she collected a match-high 13 kills and .323 hitting percentage in HU’s shutout over Saint Francis. On Saturday, the Fort Wayne native (Carroll HS) again registered game-high honors in kills with 16 in the 3-1 win at Spring Arbor. She also tallied 17 digs to aid her team defensively.

For the week, Mallers finished with 47 kills against just 17 errors in addition recording 35 digs, two serving aces and 2.5 blocks.

The Foresters are currently 8-6 overall, 4-3 in league play. They hit the road on Friday to face  Grace College at 7:00 p.m.
