HUNTINGTON, IN—Huntington College Head Baseball Coach Mike Frame has announced that Tri County High School standout Mark LeBeau has signed a letter of intent to attend Huntington College this fall. The senior infielder hit .459 with 22 RBI and 35 runs scored in 1999. LeBeau was also 7-1 on the mound with a 1.97 ERA. LeBeau was named as his conference’s player of the year and selected to the North/South All-Star Series this summer at Plymouth High School. He was a member of Tri County’s 1998 state championship team.

“We are tremendously excited that Mark has decided to continue his education and play baseball at HC.” says Frame. He is an outstanding athlete and has proven himself to be one of the top middle infielders in the state. He has distinguished himself both on and off the field in high school. We expect him to make an immediate impact as a part of Forester Baseball. ”

Mark is the son of Sandy and Craig LeBeau of Wolcott, IN

Huntington College is a member of the Mid Central Conference (MCC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Foresters finished the 1999 season at 20-26 and second in the MCC. Huntington has captured the MCC season regular season championship or conference tournament championship 26 times in 40 years. The Foresters have also had eight former players go on to careers in professional baseball, including three in 1988.
