GULF SHORES, Ala. - Junior Jake Nash represented Huntington University at the 64th annual men’s NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores (Ala.) on May 21-23. HU was one of over 150 men’s and women’s programs at nationals.

For 13th-seeded Nash (Lebanon, Ohio, Dayton Christian), it was his first trip to the outdoor national stage where he finished 16th in high jump with a leap of 6-7. Nash currently holds the school record in high jump with a mark of 6-9.25, a feat he accomplished last month on April 18 at the Forester Invitational.

Wayland Baptist (Texas) claimed the women’s national championship title while Concordia University (Neb.) took the men’s title.  

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
