Nursing department to host summer camp in 2015

The Huntington University Nursing Department will give high school students a sneak-peek into the life of a nursing student in summer 2015 through the department’s first-ever nursing camp academy.

The camp, which is designed for high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in nursing, will feature opportunities to gain a broader understanding of the nursing field and all that HU has to offer. Participants will have the opportunity to experience activities in the HU Nursing Simulation Center and classrooms, tour area hospitals, interact with a variety of nursing professionals, enjoy activities on and off-campus and meet other students interested in nursing.

The summer program will run from July 13-17, 2015. For students who register before March 1, the cost will be $299. Registering after March 1 will cost $350, and students may still register until June 30.

The registration fee includes all educational supplies, meals, housing in a residence hall, field trips, activities and a camp shirt.
