HUNTINGTON, Ind. – As announced by the Crossroads League earlier today, Huntington University senior Miranda Palmer has been named this week’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The Foresters opened up their season last week with a 72-49 win over Holy Cross where Palmer topped all scorers with 20 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Against Aquinas on Friday night, Palmer poured in a game-best 28 points, grabbed four boards and dished out four assists in a come-from-behind 67-58 overtime win over the Saints.

She wrapped up the week with 22 points, four rebounds and two steals in Huntington’s 86-67 loss to #8 Davenport University on Saturday. The 5-6 guard averaged 23.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals over the three games.

The Foresters (2-1) are back in action tonight at Great Lakes Christian College for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off with the Lakes.   

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
