HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2016-17 Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes and among the list is HU junior Kyle Platt.

Platt is one of 175 NAIA Division II men’s basketball student-athletes named to the list. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 38 NAIA All-America honors and 254 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
