HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Crossroads League announced that sophomore Ignacio Poncio and freshman Rodrigo Manzo have been named to the 2016 men’s tennis All-Conference team.

For Poncio, it marks his second All-Conference award in as many years. Playing at HU’s No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles, the Argentina native collected six wins against just two losses in singles play in Crossroads League action while logging a 3-4 record in doubles to guide his team to a third place finish in the conference standings.

As Huntington’s No. 2 player, Manzo lost just one match in singles play against league foes to finish the season with a 7-1 record. He split the season playing No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to rack up a conference record of 5-3. Manzo hails from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

The 3rd-seeded Foresters advanced to the semifinals of the Crossroads League tournament before falling to 2nd-seeded Indiana Wesleyan University 5-4. HU wrapped up the fall season with an overall record of 7-6.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
