HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The HU women’s golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule by finishing fifth at their own Forester Invitational held at Norwood Golf Club on Saturday behind the play of their blue chipper Abby Poole.

The rookie claimed medalist honors, the first of her Forester career, by firing a five-over-par 78.

“Abby did a marvelous job of being able to score despite a cold, windy rain and not having her best game off the tee,” said Coach Schownir. “That is what exceptional players do; find a way to score even when they don't have their ‘A’ game. I would not be surprised if this were the first of many individual titles for her.”

Sara Scott (107) and Hannah Lochner (110) finished within three strokes of each other to finish 33rd and 34th respectively. Sarah Moloney carded a 121 for 38th place. Sophie Frazier rounded out her team’s scoring by posting a 122 for 39th place.

Indiana Wesleyan registered a 329 to claim the first-ever Forester Invitational title followed by Holy Cross (346), Manchester (367), Grace (382), HU (416) and Trinity Christian (526).
