HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University cross country and track coach Tom King has added a Sunshine State standout to his 2015-16 roster with the signing of John Carroll Catholic senior CJ Robertson.

Having spent his earlier years in Indiana, Robertson will return to his home state to run cross country and track in Forester green and white. A two-time state qualifier in cross country, Robertson boasts a PR of 17:33 and has served as his team’s captain for the last three years in addition to enjoying MVP and District Runner of the Year honors twice during his prep career.

Robertson’s versatility in track and field has made him a valuable member of his Golden Ram squad as evidenced by being named his team’s MVP last spring. His running events include the 400 meter (52.89), 800 meter (2:06) and 1600 meter (5:04). He also competes in triple jump (37’9”) and pole vault (11’) where he finished 9th at last year’s state finals.

CJ is the son of Chris and Angel Robertson, both Huntington alums, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.
