HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Crossroads League announced its 2017-2018 Women’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Teams and Coaches Poll on Tuesday with Huntington University junior Brooke Saylor among the list of honorees.

Saylor, HU’s top returning scorer and rebounder from a year ago, was tabbed a preseason Second Team All-Conference pick. The 5-10 forward averaged 8.2 points and a team-best 8.1 rebounds last season. Her rebounding prowess landed her the No. 4 spot among her league peers in total rebounds per game and the No. 5 spot in offensive rebounds per game (2.6).

Just like last year, the Foresters were selected sixth in the conference preseason poll. HU lived up to that billing last year with a conference record of 8-10. Coach Culler’s crew opens up 2017-2018 by hosting Olivet Nazarene University on October 31 at 7:00 p.m.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 38 NAIA All-America honors and 274 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S. News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
