Schroeder Named Huntington College Volleyball Coach

HUNTINGTON, IN MAY 28, 1996 -- Huntington College announced today that David Schroeder will head its volleyball program. Schroeder, a local business owner, will assume coaching responsibilities in the fall.

As founder of the Huntington Volleyball Club, Schroeder has been involved in volleyball for many years. He has conducted volleyball clinics for children and adults, organized and coordinated leagues and tournaments, and played USVBA volleyball.

"Dave is a well known and respected member of the volleyball community," says Huntington College athletic director Lori Culler. "His success as a player will be an asset as he makes the transition to the college coaching ranks. Dave's dedication to the sport and his organizational abilities will serve him well. He will be a valued addition to our coaching staff at Huntington College."

Schroeder is vice president of Schroeder's Sales and Service, Inc. and owner of the local Ryder Truck rental dealership. He and his family attend Central Christian Church and reside in Andrews.
