Schwob directs Enterprise Resource Center

Huntington, Ind. "Kay Schwob has been appointed Director of the Huntington College Enterprise Resource Center. In this important role within the Advancement Office, Schwob will provide leadership in cultivating experiential learning partnerships between Huntington College and the surrounding region.

As Director of the Huntington College Enterprise Resource Center, Schwob will help lead an initiative to provide Huntington College students with meaningful real-world experiences by connecting students with area businesses, not-for-profit organizations, social service agencies, churches and local governments. Through internship opportunities and practicum projects, students with a wide range of majors and interests will gain valuable experience while helping to grow and prosper these community entities.

I'm excited about the opportunity to help students gain real world experience. It is a wonderful opportunity for businesses in the community and surrounding area to be connected with the College and our students, Schwob said. I feel this is a 'win-win' situation for the College and our students because now we have a concerted effort through business contacts to create experiential learning opportunities for our students. We can expand our efforts to assist area businesses and organizations with special projects by using the talents of our students and professors. Our hope is that these internships will lead into careers for our students after graduation.

Schwob returns to HC with vast experience and quality leadership skills in the areas of business management and marketing, having served as the Huntington College Director of Community Relations from 1996-1999. Schwob was recognized as the American Business Women's Association Woman of the Year for 1995-1996, a testament to her extensive business experience.

Schwob is also highly active in the Huntington area with a strong commitment and dedication to helping the local community. Schwob's activities have included the Huntington College Foundation Board of Directors, President of the Huntington Rotary Club, Huntington County Leadership Board of Directors, Junior Achievement Board of Directors and the Youth Services Bureau Board of Directors. She has also helped provide leadership to local events such as Heritage Days and the Huntington Sesquicentennial Finale.

Schwob earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Business Administration.
