HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University men’s tennis coach Kreg Eckert has added another recruit to his 2016-17 roster with the signing of Traders Point Christian Academy senior Jacob Shelton.

While Traders Point doesn’t offer tennis, Shelton is no stranger to the game. The Zionsville native has played years of club tennis in addition to competing in USTA events in the Indianapolis area.

Shelton has trained under the coaching of Stephanie Reece Hunn and P.A. Nilhagen at Five Seasons Family Sports Club and Washington Township Tennis in Indianapolis and boasts a CIN B18 rank of 86.

Shelton plans to study Sports Management at Huntington University. He is the son of Scott and Claire of Zionsville, Ind.
