Showcase to highlight best moments of theater seniors

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Come and be delighted by the works of graduating theater majors at Huntington University.

At 7:30 p.m. April 5, five senior theater majors will come together to showcase their highlighted works from their four years of study in theater performance and design. The event will take place in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

The evening will include songs from popular shows such as "South Pacific," "Hairspray" "Spamalot," "Urinetown" and "Title of Show," along with scene selections from "Reckless," "Romeo and Juliet" and "Oleanna," among many others.

Seniors include Nathaniel Adams, theater performance and theater education major from Pueblo, Colo.; Ashley Pifer, theater design and technology major from Sylvania, Ohio; Chloe-Ann Shaw, theater performance major with a minor in music from St. Andrew, Jamaica; Lindsay Hoops-Siewert, theater performance major from Fort Wayne, Ind. and Jessica Wagel, theater performance major from Hillsboro, Kan.

"The seniors this year are a dedicated and talented group of students," said Jay Duffer, HU theater department chair. "All of them have pushed themselves during their time at HU to learn and practice their craft to the best of their abilities. I am so very proud of them."

Admission is free, and doors open at 7 p.m.
