Students recognized at state music competition

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Eighteen students represented Huntington University at the Indiana chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) annual competition on Nov. 3 at Indiana Wesleyan University. Four received special awards.
Those recognized were:
- Haley Glinz, a freshman music performance major, took third place in the "Freshman Women" category.
- Ja'Shon Burks, a sophomore music education and Bible & religion-religious studies major, took honorable mention in the "Sophomore Men" category.
- Brittany Blazier, a junior music education major, took third place in the "Junior Women" category.
- Jacob Keefer, a senior music major, took second place in the "5th year seniors/early advanced" category.
NATS invites vocal students from around Indiana to compete each year.

- Heather Barnum, a freshman music education major
- Trenidy Cox, a freshman theater performance major
- Kati Frankle, a freshman music education major
- Osvaldo Gil, a freshman music education major
- Sarah Gould, a sophomore music education major

- Holly Stanley, a freshman music education major
- Halli Stewart, a freshman theater performance and music performance major
- Jacob Smith, a junior music education major
- Molly Williams, a sophomore music with emphasis in business & worship leadership major
