Students to exhibit work in annual juried exhibit

HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Huntington University visual arts department invites the community to the 24th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit which runs March 5-27 in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery on campus.

This is a juried exhibit of works created by Huntington University visual art students during this academic year. There will be a variety of media on display including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, drawings, photography, computer illustration and web design. The guest juror for the exhibit is Suzanne Dittenber, assistant professor of art at Taylor University.

An award reception will take place at 6 p.m. March 8 in the gallery. During that time, students will be recognized for outstanding achievements in various mediums as well as best of show, first, second and third place. The guest juror will decide on these awards. In addition, the art faculty will present the Robert E. Wilson Purchase Award, a student piece they choose to become part of the permanent collection at HU.

The Wilson Gallery, located in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all MCA performances and by appointment. The gallery is free and open to the public.
