University invites public to ‘Christmas in the Forest’

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University Student Senate will put up decorations on campus this winter to celebrate the season and spread Christmas cheer to students, faculty and staff as well as the Huntington community.

"Christmas in the Forest: A Huntington University Celebration" will be held on campus at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 on the alumni plaza in front of Becker Hall. The public is invited to join with the campus in a lighting ceremony, devotional, carol singing and refreshments. There is no charge for the event.

Hot drinks and cookies will be provided by Sodexo and the university's Office of Alumni Relations.

"'Christmas in the Forest' will be an incredible opportunity to bring together students of Huntington University with alumni and the Huntington community to celebrate the birth of our Lord as the body of Christ," said Student Senate member Ben Wulpi, a junior Bible and religion major from Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Rev. Bob Henry, assistant director of campus ministries, will speak at the event with music and entertainment provided by The Treblemakers, a male a cappella group on campus.
