STEAM Academies for Kids
Let's Get Learning!

Commotion in the Ocean
This fun, day camp allows children to become junior college students for a week! Activities led by Huntington University students and professors are designed for children who are 6 - 8 years old and who have completed 1st through 3rd grade. Activities use discovery and active learning to encourage children to explore the under the sea world through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), cooking, music, and games.

Engineering is Elementary
Upper elementary students (age 9-11) will have a blast building better bridges, constructing catapults, and conquering other engineering challenges as they engage in the design process. Led by Huntington University students and professors, students will be immersed in discovery learning as they develop skills in problem-solving, higher order thinking, asking and answering their own questions, and construction of models to test their hypotheses. Whoever said science is boring didn’t get to DO science like this!
