Four recognized as Outstanding Future Educators

HUNTINGTON, IN – Four Huntington College students were recognized as Outstanding Future Educators by the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (IACTE) recently. The award was based on grade point average, outstanding field experiences, and potential as a classroom teacher.

Russ Degitz, Julie Lowe, Rachel Reinhard and Kate Uebersax were recognized at IACTE’s annual awards banquet in Indianapolis, accompanied by Dr. Terrell Peace, Dr. Steve Holtrop and Prof. Kathy Turner. Degitz (Fort Wayne, Ind.) majors in Secondary History Education. Lowe, (Portland, Ind.), Reinhard (Craigville, Ind.) and Uebersax (Perry, Mich.) each major in Elementary Education with a Middle School Math Endorsement.
