HUNTINGTON, Ind. — The Huntington University Theatre Department invites the public to attend the annual Senior Showcase at 7:30 p.m. March 2. The evening will highlight six seniors graduating from the theater department. The evening’s showcase will take place in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

The showcase will feature Breana Balliet, a theater performance major from Kahoka, Mo.; Meagan Heffner, a theater performance major from Reading, Pa.; Amber-Dawn Katulic, a theater design and technology major from Winter Garden, Fla.; Kendra Kendall, a theater design and technology major from Mount Vernon, Ind.; Hannah Megill, a theater education major from Sterling, Ill.; and Kate Smith, a theater performance major from Centerville, Ohio.

The seniors will present monologues, scenes and songs that are a culmination of their four years of study at Huntington University. The material presented will be from a wide range of theater genres to reflect the actresses' versatility. Audience members are encouraged to arrive early to peruse a variety of theater projects from the seniors which will be displayed in the MCA lobby prior to the performance.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talents of the graduating seniors,” said Jay Duffer, assistant professor of theater arts at HU. “The theater faculty and staff are so proud of these six talented women. They are passionate about this art form and it shows in their discipline and craft. I've no doubt that all of them will carve out their own artistic niche once they graduate. I look forward to great things from this graduating class."
