The Lady Trolls of Trinity Christian College out-scored the Foresters 3-1 in the second half to earn the 5-3 victory over HC. TCC put on pressure early and broke through with a goal in the 25th minute with a goal from Jessica Eenigenburg. HC responded seconds later when Sarah Kaufman touched the ball into the net off an assist from Heather O'Keefe. HC took the lead in the 33rd minute when O'Keefe crossed a ball in front of the goal and found Mindy Sincler for the score. HC couldn't hold the lead for long as TCC equalized in minute 41 to knot the score at 2-2 at the half. TCC continued to press in the second half and took the lead nine minutes into the second stanza. But the Foresters fought back and O'Keefe got the equalizer with just 16 minutes left on a breakaway. TCC struck back with just over three minutes remaining to take the lead and added one more in the closing seconds to seal the win. "We had two good opportunities to take the lead in the closing minutes of the game and if we had scored I think we would have been able to hold on for the win. But TCC's keeper came up big, and I think our inexperience showed a bit today," said Coach Datema. "We are improving though and I'm excited about the rest of the year." The loss drops the women to 1-3 on the season.
