The Foresters hosted the Mid-Central Conference Championships and both squads finished fifth in the team standings. Indiana Wesleyan University swept the competition.
In women's action, junior Molly Andrews earned MCC All-Conference honors with her 12th place finish in the race. Her time of 19:32 took 23 seconds off her previous season best. Emily Sealscott crossed in 24th place with a time of 20:17. Shelly Chaffin was 28th in 20:28. Jill Roughia ran to a 30th place finish with a time of 20:32 and Vanessa Macias was a second behind her in 31st place. Indiana Wesleyan (45) edged Spring Arbor (46) for the title. Bethel was third with 84 points followed by Taylor (107), Huntington (125), Goshen (132), Marian (172), Grace (191), and St. Francis (261).
Freshman Nick Johnson also earned All-Conference honors with his 10th place finish in the men's race. His time of 26:16 was the best of his young career. Running second for HU was freshman Dan Lindbloom, who finished 16th with a time of 27:04, 19 seconds quicker than his previous best. Cody Hannie was 19th in 27:10, David St. Louis was 20th in 27:20 and Alex Milentis was 25th 27:33. Indiana Wesleyan scored a 44 to earn the title. Spring Arbor was second with 61 followed by Taylor (81), Marian (85), HU (90), Bethel (158), Goshen (159), and Grace (230).
