FORT WAYNE, Ind. – It was another close match that didn’t go Huntington’s way as the Forester women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Indiana Tech Wednesday evening. All four of HU’s losses have been one-goal contests as they move to 1-4.

Playing their third contest in five days, the Foresters were a bit sluggish for the first twenty minutes but eventually took the run of play for the half and into the second period to create many great opportunities that they just couldn’t get to stick.

Despite a contest that featured 46 shots, of which the Warriors owned an 28-18 advantage, the game’s only score came in the 25th minute on a penalty shot that Tech was able to ride out for the win.

Keeper Caitlin Adams took the loss in goal. She finished with nine saves.

“The penalty kick we gave up early turned out to be the only score of the night,” said Tillett. “The girls are working hard and they keep pushing to improve each day. I couldn’t ask for a better group of girls.”

The Foresters are back in action on Saturday when they host Cornerstone University at 2:00 p.m.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
