The Foresters traveled to Spring Arbor University and lost both games of a doubleheader 2-0 and 15-4.
The opener was a pitcher's dual for the first five innings as neither team was able to mount a scoring attack. The Cougars finally broke the scoreless tie with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth and HU failed to answer in the seventh.
Spring Arbor had seven hits in the game to just two for the Foresters. Lauren Ward took the loss for HU. She allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four.
In game two, Spring Arbor scored all 15 runs in the bottom of the second. The Foresters scored two in the third and two more in the fourth, but couldn't put enough together to extend the game past the fifth inning.
Kendra Stahl was the pitcher of record in the loss for HU. She allowed 10 runs on four hits and three walks. No one had more than one hit for the Foresters.
With the two losses, the Foresters drop to 7-13-1 on the season and 5-7 in the MCC.
