Foresters grind out 5-4 win over Anderson

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – After spending more than five hours on Klopfenstein Courts Wednesday night, the Huntington women’s tennis team posted a thrilling 5-4 win over Anderson University. With this win, the Foresters even up their record at 2-2 on the season.

Down 2-1 after doubles play, HU rallied back to claim wins at the top three spots in singles action to eventually even things up at 4-4. The non-conference face-off came down to No. 5 singles where freshman Erin Van Kampen played more like a veteran by grinding out a third set tiebreaker for the match win.

The Foresters will have a busy Saturday as they are slated to play at Taylor University at 10:00 a.m. before heading back to campus to take on Cornerstone University at 3:00 p.m.
