The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released its bracket for the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship. The 32 teams are seeded in four brackets of eight teams and the Foresters were given one of the #5 seeds. Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa will host the event on March 10-16, 2010.
HU's opening round opponent will be Sterling College (KS) and they will face off at 12:00 p.m. CST on Thursday, March 11. The Lady Warriors enter the tournament with a 26-4 record having finished first in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) to receive an automatic bid to Sioux City.
The winner will take on the winner of the #1 Northwestern (IA) / #8 Indiana Northwest game on Friday, March 12 at 1:45 p.m. CST.
The Fuse, HU's radion station, will be broadcasting the Foresters' games on WQHU 105.5 FM or www.wqhu.net.
