HU men finish near bottom at Chippewa Bowl

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Playing without a full roster, the Forester men’s bowling team tallied 6,690 pins over nine games to finish 75th at the Blue Gold Classic at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend.

After bowling six regular team games on Saturday and three more on Sunday, Lindenwood University won the event with 9,571 pins followed by William Penn University (9,483), Morehead State University (9,481), Notre Dame College (9,430) and Calumet College of St. Joseph (9,329).

Sophomore Tyler Neff paced HU with a 168th finish out of 504 bowlers with 1,570 pins for a nine-game average of 174.4. Addison Trump finished 221st with a 164.1 average.

Dan Binkoski recorded a 151.8 average to place 266th. Rounding out HU’s scoring was Bryan Myers (141.5) and Peter Hanson (111.2).

Huntington heads to Columbus, Ohio next weekend to compete in the Buckeye Classic.
