Herber earns HU Athlete of the Week honors

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of October 21, 2013. Men’s cross country sophomore Tyler Herber earned the honor for his outstanding effort over the weekend.

Herber (Fremont, Ind., Fremont H.S.) ran to a 22nd place finish at the Wilmington College Invitational on Friday. Competing amidst a field of 416 runners, he posted a season-best time of 26:00.17.

As a team, the Foresters finished 14th out of 36 teams. They are back in action on Saturday when they run at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas College.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
