Home soccer and volleyball games to be video-streamed

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – New this fall Huntington University athletic director Lori Culler has announced that all home soccer games, both men’s and women’s, and all home volleyball games will be video-streamed through HU’s YouTube channel.

Behind the leadership of Dr. Lance Clark, Chair of the Digital Media Arts department, students from this department will handle all aspects of the video-streaming process. Huntington introduced this service two years ago to give HU constituents, friends and family an opportunity to watch all home basketball games online. Home Forester basketball contests will again be streamed this winter.

“We’ve received a tremendous amount of positive feedback the last two years since we began live streaming our men’s and women’s basketball games, so we’re excited for our families, friends and fans to be able to expand the coverage to include men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball this year,” said Culler.

"It will hopefully continue to broaden our fan base and increase HU’s visibility on social media. We have an outstanding broadcast-fusion media department at HU. The live streaming and all that entails gives our students the opportunity to obtain valuable experience in broadcasting, filming and producing live shows that will greatly enhance their résumé. It’s a win for everyone!”

The Forester men’s soccer game slated for Monday, September 1 at 4:00 p.m. against Holy Cross College will be the first home match streamed this year. HU’s YouTube address is https://www.youtube.com/user/HuntingtonUniversity.
