Hubble named Forester Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of February 10, 2014. Women’s basketball sophomore Kelsey Hubble earned the honor for her outstanding efforts this past week.

Hubble helped lead HU to a 2-0 record last week. The Pendleton native posted ten points which included two from downtown and two assists in Huntington’s 51-49 upset over 7th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday.

The 5-6 shooting guard followed up with a career-best 26 points on Saturday where she was red-hot behind the arc. She was 8-for-9 from 3-point land and was one triple shy of tying the school record for most threes in a game. Hubble also handed out six assists in the 95-55 blowout over the Maple Leafs.

With four regular season games remaining, the No. 24 Foresters (19-6) are currently second in the conference standings with a league record of 11-3.
